The Precision team uses real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) to validate the results of gene expression and microarray-based experiments, determine copy number of targets, conduct allelic discrimination, and SNP genotyping to identify biomarkers. The team will use pre-validated probe/primer sets, incorporate a researcher’s own probe/primer sets or help custom design probe primers based on the researcher’s data sets for optimal efficiency. The team members’ application of various QPCR platforms and bioinformatics has been recognized for their innovative uses of data analysis and data mining.
